Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi and Trisha starred together in 96 and it turned out to be a blockbuster hit film that also managed to earn the love of the general audience. The film has been remade in Telugu as Jaanu featuring Sharwanand and Samantha Akkineni in the lead roles. This remake is directed by Prem Kumar who helmed the original version. The teaser of the film which released a few weeks back, got a fair reception from the audience. The Telugu speaking audience loved the teaser, while the Tamil audience had a tinge of disappointment.

Following that, the makers have now released the theatrical trailer of the film and this one is sure to take over the buzz on social media. The trailer is packed with the highlight sequences of the film and it looks quite interesting. The trailer prepares the audience and sets the right mood for them to watch in the theatres. Samantha and Sharwanand look lively and natural, while Gouri Kishan also garners attention as the younger ‘Jaanu’.

Director Prem Kumar has retained the essence and flvaour of 96 in Jaanu and it looks very interesting. Produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations, Jaanu has music by Govind Vasantha, cinematography by Mahendiran Jayaraju and editing by Praveen K.L.
