Mysore based writer T. Gururaj, who wrote a book on the late forest brigand Veerappan, titled  Rudhra Narthana, has filed a complaint against Attahasa filmmaker A.M.R. Ramesh, for using his content in the film without his permission.

“Before Ramesh began shooting for the film, he came to me and said that my book Rudhra Narthana was very informative. He said that he would use some inputs and give me credit for the same. But I was not given credit. Hence, I filed a complaint,“ Gururaj said.

But filmmaker Ramesh has denied the reports about Gururaj's statements. He said that he had never met Gururaj. He also said that he would not give credit to anyone. The filmmaker also said that people were making false claims against him.
