A film that set the entire nation talking right from the get go, blockbuster filmmaker SS Rajamouli's upcoming period action drama, RRR, starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles, is in its final stages of production and will be hitting screens worldwide on October 13 this year. RRR is Rajamouli's next after the gargantuan success of his Baahubali films and is being produced by DVV Entertainment, who are leaving no stone unturned in making the pan-Indian film a grand visual treat. With production carrying forward at an active pace, the makers surprised fans by revealing the first look poster of British actor Olivia Morris' character, Jennifer, in RRR, on the occasion of her birthday on Friday.

Olivia Morris came on board RRR as a replacement to Daisy Edgar Jones, who opted out of working in the magnum opus, with the film being planned to be released in as many as 10 languages including Tamil and Hindi. RRR is Olivia's biggest acting credit to date, who is a theatre artist and actor in London, and her role in the film is said to be crucial. Expectations for RRR have been massive among fans, who have been keeping a close watch on every single development regarding the film ever since it went on floors in 2019. RRR resumed filming in October last year after film productions were ordered to be called off in March in view of the pandemic. As the COVID-19 situation began getting a little better and the lockdown relaxations came into effect gradually, the makers of RRR released a special video showing the extensive preparations undertaken to make sure the shoot goes forward in line with all the norms and protocols. The film's budget is estimated to be around Rs. 350-400 crores and includes music by M. M. Keeravani.

Apart from Jr NTR, Ram Charan and Olivia Morris, RRR also features Alia Bhatt as the female lead, with Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn cast in an extended cameo, followed by Samuthirakani in a pivotal role, while Ray Stevenson and Alison Doody are reportedly playing the antagonists. RRR is a fictitious story based on legendary freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharamaraju being portrayed by Ram Charan and Komaram Bheem being played by Jr NTR, with the film's story set during the pre-Independence era in the 1920s.
