Ritika Singh entered the film industry on a high note having won the National Award for her performance in her debut, Irudhi Suttru, opposite Madhavan in 2016. The mixed martial artist turned actress has since gone on to star in Tamil films namely Aandavan Kattalai alongside 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi, Shivalinga opposite Raghava Lawrence and most recently, Oh My Kadavule with Ashok Selvan and Vani Bhojan.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic crisis, Ritika has now taken to her Instagram page to appear in an IGTV video where she talks about how she took advantage of the time at hand, while also delving into the comments that are made on social media against her in terms of her appearance. The actress, who has been updating fans on social media with her workout videos including a few funny ones, has now issued a strong reply to social media trolls in regard to the pimples on her face.

In the video, Ritika says she is at her complete best these days when it comes to kickboxing and speaks about the negative comments on social media each time anybody shares a raw and unfiltered picture or unedited video of themselves. She questions the people who are commenting about the pimples on her face. "Do you think we don’t know that we have pimples? Do you think we can’t see the blemishes on our faces? Of course, we can. But still we ignore them and choose to be our true real selves on social media. And I think that is applause worthy. Some of the comments that I have come across during my time, they are really hurtful", Ritika states. She has requested people to stop making such comments about anybody in general and has also informed her social media followers to not be hindered by such comments in case they encounter them personally, if any.
