Actress-director Revathi, has been roped in to play Alia Bhatt's Tamilian mother in 2 states.

The lovely lady, who has acted in Hindi films like Love, Raat and Phir Milenge has been away from Bollywood for a long time. She is quiet happy and excited about the project.

Directed by Abhishek Verman, this Karan Johar-Sajid Nadiadwala co-production is based on Chetan Bhagat's novel of the same name and also stars Arjun Kapoor.
