Thalapathy Vijay lighted up this Diwali with his much-anticipated venture Sarkar directed by one of his favorite director AR Murugadoss. The movie has Keerthy Suresh as the female lead and Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar playing the antagonist. The flick had a grand worldwide release on Tuesday with over 3400+ screen count all around which is the biggest ever for a Tamil movie. With its big opening, the movie is off to a great start with all the positive word from the critic and the fan as well. 

 

According to reports, Thalapathy Vijay's Sarkar has collected a massive 2.37 crores in Chennai city range which is the highest in the history going past Superstar Rajinikanth's Kaala which grossed 1.76 crores in the first day. With the numbers, Sarkar becomes the first film to break the 2 crore barrier in the industry. Reports also suggest that Sarkar has grossed an approximate of 32 crores in the Tamil Nadu which is the biggest ever for a Tamil movie and the first to do so. The venture is touted to have crossed the 80 crores mark worldwide. With all the first day records being broken, Thalapathy Vijay's Sarkar has created a new benchmark for others to look up. With shattering records, Sarkar is well on its way on becoming the biggest blockbuster in the history.
