Mouna Ragam is a widely popular Tamil television serial that has been running for the past three years on Star Vijay channel. The serial features Baby Krithika in the lead role and she rose to fame after her impressive performance as Shakthi in the serial. The serial's star cast also includes Baby Sherine Farhana, Rajeev Parameshwar, Shamitha Shreekumar, Chippy Renjith, Manoharan Krishnan, Rubiee, Tamil Selvi, Super Good Kannan, Anand Babu (main antagonist), Baby Adhithiri, Seema G Nair, Anjali Devi, Devika, Janani Ashok Kumar Raghavan, Nathan Shyam, and others. Notably, Krithika earned a very good fan base after winning the hearts of the audience as Shakthi. Notably, she also bagged the award for, 'Best Child Actor' at the last edition of Galatta Nakshathra Awards (2019). Similarly, actors Tamil Selvi and Manoharan also won the Galatta Nakshathra Awards for Best Supporting Character - Female and Male respectively.

The serial has got a phenomenal fan base, especially among the household audience. This serial, which has crossed over 850 episodes in the past three years, recently came to an end and it gave a mixed feeling to the fans. The serial’s last final episode was aired yesterday (September 19) and the fans bid goodbye on an emotional note. However, the makers had said that the serial will have a second installment which would be going on air soon. The serial’s lead actor, baby Krithika had said, “You all have been supporting us for the past three years and I wholeheartedly thank you for that. Very soon, you will see Mouna Ragam 2. Don't miss it,".

Having said that, the glimpse of the second season of Mouna Ragam has now been unveiled. Yes! While releasing the promo of yesterday's episode, the fans had an interesting surprise towards the end as they saw a glimpse of Mouna Ragam Season 2. Details regarding the telecast is yet to be known and we will have to wait for a few more days for it. Ratsasan fame Raveena Daha plays the protagonist in the second season of Mouna Ragam and she is going to play the elder teenage version of Shakthi, the serial’s main character.
