Popular Malayalam actress Rajisha Vijayan has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry over the past decade and is bringing her much-awaited film, Love, to Indian audiences on January 29 after it was screened in cinema halls in the Gulf from October 15. Love and many other notable Malayalam films will be released in India after theatres in Kerala reopened on January 13. Incidentally, Love happens to be the first Malayalam film to release in theatres amid the pandemic in the Gulf, with the makers since then skipping streaming it on any of the OTT platforms. 

Love starring Rajisha as the female lead has her paired opposite Shine Tom Chacko, with the film directed by Khalid Rahman and has been produced under the Ashiq Usman Productions banner. It is to be noted that Rajisha Vijayan is set to make her debut in Dhanush's Karnan, which is currently in post-production stages. Known for his previous films namely Anuraga Karikkin Vellam and Mammootty's Unda, Khalid Rahman has written the screenplay for Love, which also includes Veena Nandakumar, Sudhi Koppa, Johny Antony, Gokulan M.S in pivotal roles, with the film's music composed by Yakson Gary Pereira and Neha S Nair, cinematography by Jimshi Khalid, editing by Noufal Abdullah and Gokul Das serving as the art director. 

Love was shot completely during the lockdown period, with the makers now releasing the film's second teaser ahead of its Indian theatrical release later this week. Shine Tom Chacko and Rajisha Vijayan are seen to be playing a happily married couple, who apparently get involved in an argument, which leads to their lives spiraling downwards. The film also marked the second occasion Rajisha worked with director Khalid Rahman after he introduced her in his Anuraga Karikkin Vellam in 2016, which also fetched her the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress. Love was recently announced to be selected by the Kerala State Chalachitra Academy for the list of Indian films to be screened at the 25th edition of the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK).
