Superstar Rajinikanth's Thalaivar 169 has been titled Jailer and the title look poster of the film was unveiled this morning (June 17) through the official social media pages of Sun Pictures who will be bankrolling the project. Thalaivar 169 aka Jailer will be Rajinikanth's next outing in Tamil cinema after Annaatthe and he will be collaborating with director Nelson Dilipkumar for the first time with this one. Beast opened to mixed reviews from the critics and fans and director Nelson will be looking forward to bouncing back in style with Jailer. With the title of Thalaivar 169 being revealed to be Jailer, an interesting trivia has been found and here is what you need to know.

For the third consecutive time in a row, director Nelson has picked an English word for the title of his flick and this is indeed an hat-trick of sorts. The first one was Doctor, the Sivakarthikeyan starrer and following that, it was Beast with Thalapathy Vijay, and now Jailer has become the third consecutive film of his to have an English title. This interesting trivia has been garnering attention on social media. It is going to be interesting to see what Nelson has in store for the audience with this one. Jailer is expected to be an action packed mass masala entertainer that will have a stylish appeal to it.

Produced by Sun Pictures, the film will have music composed by Anirudh Ravichander who is joining hands with Rajinikanth for the third time after Petta and Darbar. This will also be his fourth with Nelson. Details regarding the rest of the star cast and shooting plans are awaited. We shall expect more updates from the team to arrive in the days to come.
