‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth has garnered a fan following unlike any actor ever since his entry in the world of cinema in the 1970s. The iconic actor has since then gone on to act in 167 films and will next be seen in the much-awaited, Darbar, coming out as a Pongal 2020 release under A. R. Murugadoss’ direction. Likewise, it was also recently announced by Sun Pictures that he will next be teaming up with Viswasam director for the tentatively titled, Thalaivar 168, which is expected to roll into production this December. That said, a major question that has been looming across the minds of his hardcore fans is whether he will continue to act in films considering he had announced his political entry towards the end of 2017. Now, Rajinikanth during the inauguration of Kamal Haasan’s new office addressed the media and issued an official statement saying Thalaivar 168 will not be the final film in his career. Speaking at the Raaj Kamal Films International new office where Rajinikanth along with Kamal Haasan unveiled the statue of legendary Tamil filmmaker K. Balachander, the superstar further added saying he will continue to act in films until he ventures into active politics regarding which he himself will make an announcement when the time arrives.
