Earlier this morning (April 17), ace actor Vivekh passed away after failing to respond to the medical treatments. He was admitted to SIMS Hospital, in Vadapalani, Chennai on April 16 following a cardiac arrest and he was said to be brought unconscious to the hospital. It is highly unfortunate that he is no more and the entire state of Tamil Nadu is in deep shock. Condolence messages have been pouring in on social media for actor Vivekh and this day is surely one of the darkest days for Tamil cinema and its followers. Superstar Rajinikanth shared his heartfelt condolence statement on his official Twitter page.

His statement reads (loosely translated in English), "I am totally devastated hearing about the demise of Chinna Kalaivanar, Social reformer, and my dear friend Vivekh. Each day I spent with him during the shooting of Sivaaji is unforgettable. My heartfelt condolences to Vivekh's family and I pray for his soul to rest in peace,". As Rajinikanth says, Vivekh's comedies in Sivaji: The Boss was widely enjoyed by the audience and it still happens to be one of the most favourites for the audience. The fans are also mourning the unfortunate demise of the much loved actor on social media.

His mortal remains has been kept at his residence in Virugambakkam and notable personalities from the film industry have been paying their final respects.
