'Superstar' Rajinikanth's Annaatthe released this Diwali has turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office despite mixed reviews. Directed by Siva under the prestigious Sun Pictures banner and featuring music by chart-buster composer D. Imman, the mass rural action family drama's story revolves primarily around the brother-sister relationship played by Rajinikanth and actress Keerthy Suresh, while Nayanthara is the female lead. Post the release of Annaatthe, there was been a wide debate on social media among fans regarding the film and how it could have been better. That said, Sun Pictures on Wednesday released the 'Yennuyirey' video song featuring Rajinikanth and Keerthy Suresh and highlights their relationship and emotional moments from the film. 

Sung by Sid Sriram and featuring lyrics penned by Thamarai, the 'Yennuyirey' video song in Annaatthe takes viewers through several important scenes and moments in the film, with the primary focus on Keerthy Suresh's character's marriage. The film is also incidentally the first time after two decades that Rajinikanth has been seen extensively amidst a rural backdrop after Padayappa in 1999. Annaatthe took a sensational opening in Tamil Nadu despite the rains playing spoilsport across various parts of the state for a few days after the film's theatrical release, with family audiences thronging cinema halls to witness Rajinikanth in action. 

Apart from Rajinikanth, Keerthy Suresh and Nayanthara, Annaatthe's ensemble star cast includes like actresses Khushbu and Meena, followed by Prakash Raj, Jagapathi Babu, Livingston, Pandiarajan, Soori, Sathish, Sathyan, Redin Kingsley, Vela Ramamoorthy, Bala, Kolamaavu Kokila and Doctor fame Redin Kingsley, Kaithi actor George Maryan among others in pivotal roles. Composer D. Imman too has proven to be a big strength for Annaatthe and had elevated the film with his songs and thumping background score.
