Director turned actor Seeman has been involved actively in politics for quite some time now and has established himself as a voice for the people of Tamil Nadu. He has quite a sizeable following amidst the Tamil people and in the various meetings of his Naam Tamizhar Katchi, he voices his opinions on current social scenarios as well as criticizes other parties and their political agendas very openly. Known well for his caustic sarcasm, Seeman has done it yet again with his latest comments on Rajinikanth and Vijay, at a recent General Body Meeting of his party, at Sunguvar Chathiram, in Kanchipuram.
In recent times, Kanchipuram has been in the headlines following the happening of the Athi Varadhar festival, which happens once in 40 years. The festival, which goes on for 48 days, is very unique and hundreds of thousands of devotees thronged Kanchipuram to be a part of it. It was not just the common people alone but also the top celebrities of Kollywood, who made their presence felt at the Athi Varadhar temple festival. Some of the biggest names among the attendees were Superstar Rajinikanth and his family, Trisha, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivn. Many top political leaders also visited the temple.
In his latest speech, Seeman mentioned that just like Thalapathy Vijay replaced Superstar Rajinikanth in Tamil cinema, Athi Varadhar had replaced Tirupati Venkatachalapathy in popularity. He also mentioned that the current political parties in Tamil Nadu were just like mere puppets and stated that he "IS WAITING" for Rajinikanth to actively enter politics. Seeman also mentioned that the political scenario would heat up only when Rajini begins his party and also added that there will be heavy competiton between the "Maana Tamizhan" (himself) and the "Marathian" (Rajinikanth)! He also made more than his share of sarcastic comments on a number of other issues.
