Rajinikanth’s Darbar is doing good business at the box office and the film has earned the support of the family audience. The film impressed hardcore Rajini fans and the general audience, while a section of critics had a mixed opinion. Directed by A.R.Murugadoss, this film features Rajinikanth as a cop who fights against a drug mafia, played by Suniel Shetty. The film collected an approximate of Rs 7.28 crores in its opening weekend (first four days, Jan 9 - Jan 12) at the Chennai City box office and we had also updated about it.

Following that, the five day collection of the film has now been revealed. According to reports surfacing online, it is being said that this film has made an approximate gross of Rs. 86 lakhs on its fifth day, making the overall collection a grand total of Rs 8. 14 crores, in five days (Jan 9 - Jan 13), from release. Earning a collection of more than 8 crores in just five days is no mean task and it definitely shows the star power of Superstar Rajinikanth. This collection pertains only to the Chennai city region that consists of around 25 theatres.

With the Pongal festival weekend approaching, the film is expected to go with full occupancy in all the theatres and we can also expect more family audiences coming in. Lyca Productions had recently revealed that the film has collected 150 crores at the worldwide box office in its first four days. With music by Anirudh Ravichander, Darbar features Nayanthara as the female lead and Nivetha Thomas in a very important and a note-worthy role.
