The spread of COVID-19 virus brought the whole world to a halt and people have started adapting to the situation slowly. Many celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Abishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, SP Balasubrahmanyam, and many more were also affected by the novel coronavirus. A few weeks back, popular Tollywood direct SS Rajamaouli took to Twitter to reveal that he, along with his family members, had developed a slight fever. While the fever had subsided on its own, they got tested and the result came out as mild COVID-positive. The family was quarantined at home as prescribed by the doctors. 

Rajamouli completed two weeks of quarantine along with his family members. Rajamouli confirmed on Wednesday said he and his family members have tested negative for coronavirus. In a health update on Twitter, Rajamouli also said that the doctor has asked them to wait for three weeks to be able to donate plasma if the body has managed to develop enough antibodies.

As Rajamouli recovered from COVID-19 symptoms, all eye have now shifted to the director's upcoming biggie RRR. The shooting RRR was halted due to the Corona lockdown and the film’s shooting is expected to resume only when proper permission for shootings are given.

The latest news circulating in Tollywood is that Rajamouli has again started working on the script of RRR and the director has added his wife Rama Rajamouli to his writing team and it is said that she has penned dialogues for a key portion in the film. Notably, Rama Rajamouli is already overseeing the costume designing responsibilities for the movie and the talented name has decided to join in on the writing as well.

RRR is a pan India period action drama film starring big names like Jr. NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. RRR is said to be a fictional story about India's freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem who fought against the British Raj and Nizam of Hyderabad respectively. The film is produced by DVV Danayya under the banner of DVV Entertainments and the story is penned by KV Vijayendra Prasad. Music for the movie is composed by MM Keeravani, the cinematography is handled by KK Senthil Kumar and the editing is done by A Sreekar Prasad. RRR will be dubbed versions in Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam and Tamil languages as well. The film was initially scheduled for release on 8 January 2021 but the release has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and a new release date is expected to be announced soon after some assessment.
