Actress Raashii Khanna's name has been embroiled in a controversy after her recent comments about the South Indian film industry didn't sit well with some fans. According to reports, the popular star in a recent interview with a leading daily appeared to bad mouth the South film industry, with fans subsequently trolling her online. That said, Raashii, who recently made her lead Bollywood role debut in Ajay Devgn's web series Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, addressed the said reports on Wednesday about her "badmouthing" the South film industry and dispelled them outright stating they are "fabricated and misconstrued"

Taking to her social media handles, Raashii dismissed the reports doing the rounds and said that she has tremendous respect for all languages and films that she works on while requesting the individuals behind the false news to stop spreading unnecessary information. She wrote, "Some fabricated and misconstrued content about me bad-mouthing south films is doing the rounds on social media. I request whoever has been doing it to PLEASE STOP. I have the utmost respect towards each and every language/film that I do. Let's be kind." Check out Raashii's statement here:

Meanwhile, on the work front, Raashii Khanna will be seen next in Tamil starting with Dhanush's multi-starrer Thiruchitrambalam, which also has Priya Bhavani Shankar and Nitya Menen, and is a Sun Pictures venture under Mithran Jawahar's direction. She will also be playing the female lead in Karthi's Sardar, followed by the Jiiva and 'Action King' Arjun-starrer Methavi, and is awaiting the release of Shaitan Ka Bachcha, which has her cast opposite Siddhath. In Telugu, Raashii is sharing screen space with Naga Chaitanya in 24 fame director Vikram Kumar's Thank You and is also a part of Maruthi’s Pakka Commercial alongside Gopichand. She will also be seen in the Hindi action thriller Yodha alongside Sidharth Malhotra and Disha Patani, which is produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions.
