Director Marimuthu’s previous directorial was Kannum Kannum starring Prasanna. Reportedly, the director has completed shooting his next project Puli Vaal. The star cast of the movie includes Vimal, Ananya, Prasanna and Oviya. Puli Vaal is said to be the remake of the Malayalam film Chaappa Kurishu.
The director admits that the first half of the movie will be comical and second half, a thriller. Marimuthu says, “The film is about a conflict between two characters who lead contrasting lifestyles. Vimal belongs to the lower strata of the society and Ananya plays his love interest. Prasanna works in an IT company and is romantically involved with Oviya, his colleague. How these two characters enter the lives of the other and how that affects their lives forms the plot."
