Prithviraj's Anwar launched

Big B and Sagar alias Jackie maker Amal Neerad’s forthcoming Prithviraj-Mamta Mohandas starrer Anwar (Malayalam) was launched in Ernakulam on January 5 in the presence of Prithviraj, Mamta Mohandas, Tamil actor Prakashraj and producer-actor-director Lal. The makers informed that regular shooting will begin by mid February.

During the function, the director said this film is based on terrorism. “Many youngsters are lured in to terrorist activities these days. Anwar is an attempt to trace such a story. It also maps how society reacts to terrorist activities," he said. For Prithviraj, the movie is an opportunity to test his acting skills in a movie that hovers round the theme of terrorism. “I hope Anwar will be a really different movie," he said.

Prakashraj, who won the National Award for best actor for his performance in Kancheevaram, said the script of Anwar excited him a lot. “The script has certain power that would attract the audience,” he added. Dialogues are by journalist duo Unni R. and Sreejith D. Pillai. Script is by the director. Produced under the banner of Red Carpet Movies, Anwar will hit screens in July.
