A film that is carrying humongous expectations among fans, Thalapathy 63, starring Vijay in the lead role under Atlee’s direction is gearing up for a thunderous Diwali release in October.
Being produced by AGS Entertainment, the upcoming sports entertainer has been one of the most discussed films since it was announced earlier this year. Apart from Vijay’s massive star power, Thalapathy 63 will bank on other big names that include Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman scoring the music, Nayanthara playing the female lead, Kathir, Vivek, Jackie Shroff, Indhuja, Daniel Balaji, Anandaraj, Yogi Babu, Reba Monica John, Varsha Bollamma, Amritha Iyer, Soundararaja, Devadarshini, ‘Thaadi’ Balaji, Dheena among others in major supporting roles.
With the Thalapathy 63 first look expected to be unveiled on either June 21 or June 22 on the occasion of Vijay’s birthday, fans have been eagerly waiting for an official update from the team, who have remained quiet for sometime. The last official statement surrounding the film that came about was around a couple of months back when Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff was announced to have joined the cast in an undisclosed role.Since then, fans have been bombarding the social networking pages of the film’s cast and crew including the production house, AGS Entertainment, and Thalapathy 63’s Creative Producer, Archana Kalpathi.
Meanwhile, with the "#Pray_For_Nesamani" hashtag trending worldwide, many top celebrities and personalities have been expressing their humorous side by adding their own anecdote on their social networking pages. The "Nesamani" tag is based on ‘Vaigai Puyal’ Vadivelu’s character, Contractor Nesamani, in the 2001 blockbuster film, Friends, which had ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay and Suriya playing the lead roles.
That said, Archana Kalpathi too took the opportunity to put across a cheeky tweet on Twitter in light of the "#Pray_For_Nesamani" viral phenomenon saying, "This is not the right time to ask for #Thalapathy63 update." while adding the "#Pray_For_Nesamani" hashtag. Based on her tweet, it looks like the waiting game will continue for Vijay fans for some more time.
We had revealed yesterday (May 29) that Vijay had allotted a call sheet of 140 days to shoot Thalapathy 63. Production has been progressing forward non-stop at a steady pace with the entire cast and crew putting in their efforts to the fullest extent as the film is centered around the sport of Football and will require the artistes to be at their physical best till shooting wraps up.
