Critically acclaimed 2010 Telugu drama Prasthanam, starring young Telugu actor Sharvanand (Engeyum Eppodhum fame in Tamil), will be soon dubbed and released in Tamil. The dubbed version is titled Padhavi.
Starring Telugu actor Saikumar in a pivotal role, the film was directed by Deva Katta and produced by Ravi Vallabhaneni. The Tamil dialogues are penned by V. Prabhakar. Lyricists Piraisoodan, Snehan, Viveka, Indrajith and Muruganandham are working on the songs. Rubi Parihar is the heroine.
Prasthanam received many accolades from critics and was selected at the Indian Panorama in International Film Festival 2010. However, the movie remained a commercial failure due to lack of proper planning and publicity.
