Actor turned filmmaker Prabhu Deva will be next seen on the big screen in the fantasy comedy My Dear Bootham, which has him playing the role of a genie for the first time in his career. The family entertainer has been directed by Manjapai and Kadamban fame N. Raghavan under Ramesh P. Pillai's Abhishek Films banner and has tunes and background score composed by hit music director D. Imman. The makers have been promoting the upcoming film extensively, with the buzz also getting bigger each day after the release of the motion poster and the foot-tapping 'Master Oh My Master' video song. In that light, the much-awaited My Dear Bootham trailer has been released on Friday and gives us our first detailed look at the film's cast and the plot that is predominantly centered around Prabhu Deva and popular child artiste Ashwanth Ashokkumar of Super Deluxe fame. 

The My Dear Bootham trailer focuses mainly on the relationship between Prabhu Deva as the genie with magical powers, who has been gifted with the ability to fulfill the wishes of whosoever commands him. We see Master Ashwanth Kumar as the child, who comes into contact with Prabhu Deva and the entire trailer shows us the numerous joyous and fun-filled moments between the two, albeit they also come up against an unexpected obstacle. The My Dear Bootham trailer also gives us glimpses at Sethupathi heroine Remya Nambeesan as the female lead and model-actress Samyuktha Shanmughanathan of Bigg Boss Tamil season 4, who is appearing in a pivotal role. 

My Dear Bootham has been announced for a release in 2022 and will be targeted at family audiences, especially kids, who will be looking forward to the magical elements in the film. The technical team in the film includes names like cinematographer U. K. Senthil Kumar, editor San Lokesh, art director A.R. Mohan, Deva for the dialogues, Sridhar for the choreography, while G.N. Murugan is the stunt choreographer.
