Prabhu Solomon’s Laadam enjoys good reception

Laadam – which released on February 20th – enjoyed a good reception; theatres playing it are brimming with crowds now as word about its entertainment value is spreading. Directed by Prabhu Solomon, Laadam – starring beautiful Charmi and Arvind – is about a young man who talks himself into trouble. A humble villager with a wagging tongue, the protagonist comes to Chennai in search of livelihood, but one of his “loose talks” lands him with the deadly assignment of killing a mafia leader’s son! The pity is the one who assigned him the job is another notorious city goon, who kills those who fail him. The rest of the film deals with how the hero gets out of this precarious situation. This is not about a reluctant hitman battling with his conscience but all about a silly young man getting out of the trouble that he sweetly talked himself into! And the manner in which Prabhu Solomon has developed this story is superb!

Inferring from the feedback of several people who have seen the film, we can say that cinemagoers are astounded by the film’s fast-paced screenplay – designed not to give a viewer any time to relax or expect the next scene. Plus, the film’s excellent cinematography (by Sukumar) and soothing music (by Dheena) have played in its favour. Beautiful and sexy Charmi provides the viewers relief from all the thrill and adrenaline rush. There is no doubt that Laadam has paved the way for her comeback to Kollywood; the beautiful actress acted in Kadhal Azhivathillai (2002) opposite Simbu and Aahaa Ethanai Azhagu (2003) was her last film in Tamil.

With excellent narration, adequate thrill and glamour, Laadam has won viewers’ hearts. This is a must-watch for you all this weekend. Check it out.

PS: For action movie lovers who love chase sequences, the film is rich with such exciting scenes.
