Earlier this week, it was announced that Prabhas would be teaming up with director Om Raut of Tanhaji fame for a pan Indian mega biggie. The film which is titled Adipurush will feature Prabhas playing the role of Lord Rama and the film’s story will be based on Ramayana. According to reports, Hrithik Roshan is touted to play the antagonist who will be locking horns against Prabhas, but an official announcement regarding that is awaited. Adipurush will be made on a grand scale on a huge budget and the film is scheduled to go on floors next year.

However, Prabhas’ next release will be Radhe Shyam which is a period romantic drama. Prabhas will be sharing screen space with Pooja Hegde who plays his love interest in the film. After a long break, the makers are now all set to get back to work. Yes! It has now been revealed that the shooting of this project will resume from the second week of September. The film’s director Radha Krishna took to his Twitter space to share this update with Prabhas’ fans and well wishers.

He tweeted, “All excited to resume the shoot from 2nd week of September, the longest and the loveliest schedule with our darling #prabhas and @hegdepooja @UV_Creations @UVKrishnamRaju @itsBhushanKumar #RadheShyam”. According to reports, a set is being constructed at Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad and the shoot is planned to take place in a minimal scale. It has been a long while since the fans got to see Prabhas in an out and out romantic film and having said that, it is going to be exciting to see the light-hearted side of Prabhas, considering the fact that his last few films have been action based.

Produced by Vamsi and Pramod under the banner of UV Creations, Radhe Shyam is presented by UV Krishnam Raju's Gopi Krishna Movies Private Limited. The Hindi dubbed version of the film will be released by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series. Apart from the two leads, Radhe Shyam also stars Sachin Khedekar, Priyadarshi, Bhagyashree, Murli Sharma, Sasha Chettri, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Sathyan in supporting roles. On the technical side, the film has cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, production design by R Raveendar and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.
