Pongal 2010: Clash of the brothers
The Pongal race cannot get bigger than this. It is Dhanush's Kutty vs. Selvaraghavan's Aayirathil Oruvan.
Dhanush-Shriya starrer Kutty directed by Mithran Jawahar,�remake of Telugu blockbuster Arya will clash with brother Selva's long-pending Aayirathil Oruvan with Karthi-Reemma-Andrea in the lead.
Earlier, the buzz was that Goa produced by Dhanush’s sis-in-law Soundarya Rajinikanth will also compete in the race. But the latest is that Venkat Prabhu's Goa has been postponed to January 29, 2010. Written and directed by Venkat Prabhu, Goa stars Jai, Premji, Vaibhav, Sneha and�Piya in the lead. Sakthi Saravanan handles the camera while Selva does the stunt choreography.
The dark horse in the race is Simbudevan's Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam, yet an another abandoned genre (cowboy) of Tamil cinema with Lawrence, Sandya, Padmapriya, Lakhshmi Rai, Sai Kumar, Elavarasu and Vaiyapuri in the cast.
