Police Quarters starts
Director A.M.R. Ramesh, who shot to fame through Cyanide which dealt with the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi, is coming up with his nextventure Police Quarters. The film started rolling on Ugadi, March 27th.
Ramesh worked asassociate director for many films before foraying into independent film direction through Santhosha. Then came Cyanide which received rave reviews and made Rameshfamous. But his third attempt Minchina Ota, a commercial movie featuring siblings Vijaya Raghavendra and Sri Murali with Lakshmi Rai, was a disappointment. The film questioned the credibility of the director and raised doubts about his talent.
Ramesh obviously does not want to become a one-film wonder and wander into oblivion. With Police Quarters, he will be looking to get his reputation back. The film is being made simultaneously in Tamil as Kaavalar Kudi. The story is set on the backdrop of the demolition of the Babri Masjid and the events that followed. He admits this film will be made oncommercial lines. Anil Thejeswar and Sonu willdon the lead roles.
