National Award-winning Tamil filmmaker and actor R. Parthiban is leaving no stone unturned in presenting his Iravin Nizhal in a grand manner. In that light, reputed producer-distributor Kalaipuli S. Thanu's V Creations banner has acquired the release rights of the upcoming venture, which is billed to be the world's first non-linear single-shot feature film. So far, there have been only a handful of single-shot films made around the world to date, which have included linear screenplays, with Parthiban going one step ahead in making Iravin Nizhal in a non-linear pattern. Below is the latest release announcement:

Featuring music by Academy Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman, the audio launch of Iravin Nizhal has been announced to take place in Chennai on June 5, with Parthiban releasing the film's teaser and the first single earlier this week to a rousing response from fans everywhere. The film had run into some controversy when Parthiban during his interaction with A. R. Rahman threw a mic toward the audience, which landed on comedian-actor Robo Shankar. Soon after the incident, Parthiban appeared on video and issued an apology to Robo Shankar and the fans for his behavior stating that he is an emotional person and kept his emotions in check most of the time, but got frustrated at the last moment.

Iravin Nizhal is Parthiban's next ambitious venture after the critically-acclaimed Oththa Seruppu Size 7, which earned him his third National Award, and has him penning the story, screenplay, and dialogues, apart from directing and acting in the lead role. The film also includes Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Robo Shankar, Priyanka Ruth, Brigida Saga, Sneha Kumar, Anand Krishnan, and Chandru in major starring roles and has been produced by Parthiban's Bioscope LLP in association with Akira Productions. Apart from Parthiban and A. R. Rahman being the major USPs of Iravin Nizhal, the film's technical crew features Oscar-winning sound editor Craig Mann, followed by Cottalango Leon as the VFX Supervisor, cinematographer Arthur A. Wilson, and art director RK Vijai Murugan.
