A filmmaker, who has gone on to create a massive impact in the Tamil film industry in quick time unlike any other in recent times, Pa. Ranjith has left everybody talking from the common man to those in cinema about his films as well his social views.
Post the success of his Kaala starring ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth earlier this year, Ranjith is all set to begin work on his upcoming projects.
Among them, it was reported a while back that Ranjith would be making his Bollywood debut with Aamir Khan in the lead role for which an official confirmation is awaited.
That said, it has now been confirmed that the hit director will be making a web series on late actress Silk Smitha tracing the rise and growth of the star siren back in her heyday while also focusing on her childhood too.
It must be noted The Dirty Picture starring Vidya Balan was made in 2011 and is said to have been inspired from Silk Smitha's life.
Pa. Ranjith’s immediate next film is Pariyerum Perumal, which he has produced under his Neelam Productions banner starring Kathir and Anandhi lead roles directed by Mari Selvaraj.
