Ace director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next big project Padmavati has not been under pleasant news section for a long time. Rajput Karni Sena members have stopped the shooting and damaged the film’s set at Jaigarh Fort as they had objections with the way some facts were being presented in the film. Shahid Kapoor - one of the film’s lead actor supported Sanjay and stated that Bhansali is treating the script with lot of dignity.

 

"I have read the script and it's not objectionable, and it's a very dignified film. He (Bhansali) is treating it with lot of dignity. I think people should see the film and decide things. The sentiments of people are highly in consideration by Sanjay sir. When he cast me, he said the characters should be presented correctly as these people are respected and loved by the people of Rajasthan. So it should be represented correctly, " says Shahid. 

 

The Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor starrer release is being planned in November. The story is based on Rajasthan Chittor Fort’s Rana Rawal Ratan Singh, his wife Rani Padmini and second sultan of the Khilji Dynasty Allauddin Khilji’s love, hatred invasion and betrayal story.
