The multi-talented Simbu has been in the headlines over the past few days for his efforts to prove a unity exists between the people of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka contrary to general opinion.

As TN has been gripped with tension over various serious issues including the Cauvery crisis, STR had few days back requested the people of Karnataka to extend a glass of water to the Tamil people they know in their state to prove no enmity exists between them.

The effort paid off in a big way with laurels being showered on Simbu for taking such an initiative to bring a unison between the people of the neighboring states.

Now, STR has decided to carry forward that positive momentum by agreeing to sing a song in the upcoming Kannada film, Iruvudella Bittu, being directed by Kantha Kanalli and starring Tilak, Shri Mahadev and Meghana Raj in lead roles under Devaraj’s Bilwa Creations banner.

It must be noted Simbu has apart from singing in Tamil crooned on few occasions in Telugu films.

STR is at present working on Mani Ratnam’s multi-starrer, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, alongside Vijay Sethupathi, Jyothika, Arvind Swami, Arun Vijay, Aishwarya Rajesh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Prakash Raj, Mansoor Ali Khan, Appani Sarath among others.
