As per the latest reports from Tollywood, popular Telugu producer Pokuri Rama Rao passed away after battling with COVID-19 Coronavirus. According to reports, Pokuri Rama Rao was admitted to a hospital recently for Coronavirus and was undergoing medical treatment for the past few days. He was 65 years old when he breathed his last. Reportedly, Rama Rao had undergone a cardiac surgery, ten months before. Pokuri Rama Rao, along with his brother Pokuri Babu Rao, produced films in Telugu under the banner of Eetharam Films.

The brothers duo produced films like Ranam, Ontari and Yagnam, all of which starred Gopichand in the lead role. Talking about these films, Ranam was directed by Amma Rajasekhar and had music scored by Mani Sharma. This masala action entertainer, which featured Kamna Jethmalani and Biju Menon in important roles, turned out to be a success at the box office with an 100-day run.

Ontari was directed by B.V.Ramana and had Bhavana playing the female lead. Ashish Vidyarthi, Sayaji Shinde, Supreeth were seen in prominent roles. Yagnam was helmed by AS Ravi Kumar Reddy and it had Prakash Raj, Devaraj, and Moon Banerjee in the star cast. Apart from these three films, Pokuri Rama Rao and Pokuri Babu Rao produced few other notable biggies as well.

Rama Rao's death news has shocked a lot of people in the industry and Rama Rao's well-wishers are sharing their condolence messages on social media. However, there are also a few reports that the noted producer died due to a cardiac arrest. Rama Rao's family are yet to share an official statement regarding the death and only then, we will know about the real cause of death.

Of late, it looks like the Coronavirus has quite a few notable names in Telugu industry. Recently, we heard about serial actress Navya Swamy getting positive for the virus. Today (July 4), actor Ravi Krishna revealed that he is tested positive and is slowly recovering back to normalcy. Producer Bandla Ganesh is also getting treated for the virus at a private hospital.
