Nenjuku Needhi is a Tamil investigative crime drama film directed by Arunraja Kamaraj, produced by Boney Kapoor, and stars Udhayanidhi Stalin, Tanya Ravichandran, and Shivani Rajasekhar. The movie is inspired by true events and offers a realistic take on Article 15 of the Indian Constitution, which prohibits discrimination on grounds of religion, race, caste, sex, or place of birth. In the movie, Udhayanidhi plays the role of a police officer investigating the gang rape and murder of a woman, who belongs to a minority class in rural Tamil Nadu. It is the official remake of the 2019 Hindi film Article 15 which starred Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead. The film's music is composed and scored by Dhibu Ninan Thomas.

The post-theatrical streaming rights of the film were bought by SonyLIV. Now, after its theatrical run, the film is all set to make its way into people's houses from June 23 onwards. Producer Boney Kapoor to his official Twitter handle and made an announcement of this new info. Nenjuku Needhi was released theatrically on 20 May 2022 to positive reviews, with praise for Udhayanidhi's performance and story. This is Arunraja Kamaraj's second film as director after having made Kanaa in 2019. Nenjuku Needhi is a deeply affecting and powerful film on caste disparities and inequality that goes into a heartfelt exploration of an important problem in our society.
