Karthi is all set to team up with director Venkat Prabhu for a romantic comedy entertainer in Tamil and Telugu. The film is titled Biryani and Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green is the producer. The director has reportedly approached Mayakkam Enna actress Richa Gangopadhyay to play the female lead. However the actress opted out of the project due to changes in role and script. Now it looks like the director has approached Neetu Chandra for the role. Hansika is already a part of this entertainer.
The film has music by Yuvanshankar Raja (his 100th film) and camera by Sakthi Saravanan.
