Lady Superstar Nayanthara is currently reveling in the success of Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal directed by her beau Vignesh Shivan starring Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha. The film went on to receive a mixed response from fans and critics alike but still managed to perform well at the box office. The actress is now gearing up for the release of her next film O2.
The makers of the film have already released both the teaser as well as the trailer in just a few days to cater to the fans by giving them what they want instead of making them wait which in turn might lead to them losing interest in the film even before its release.
The team behind the film has already dropped the first single titled "Swasamae" and it is fantastic. The music is composed by Vishal Chandrasekhar, lyrics penned by Rajesh Giriprasad and Mohan Raja, and sung by Brindha Sivakumar released. Now comes greater news as the second single from O2 just dropped and this number is quite an eye-opener. This melodious track is titled ‘Vaanam Yaavum’ and its lyric video is out now. From the video, it seems like the song is a feel-good song focusing on the relationship between a mother and her son. The song is crooned by Pradeep Kumar with its lyrics written by Dharan KR.
Written and directed by GS Viknesh and produced by SR Prabhu and SR Prakash Babu under the banner of Dream Warrior Pictures, the film is touted to be a survival thriller film. The film is all set to release on 17 June 2022 and will skip a theatrical release. Instead, O2 will directly go for a digital premier and will be made available to watch on the Disney+Hotstar OTT platform.
The recently married Nayanthara has a couple of other projects in her kitty. She will next be seen in the Malayalam film Gold alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran. Then she has the Telugu film Godfather and the Bollywood film Jawan opposite Shah Rukh Khan directed by Atlee which will mark her Hindi debut.
