Is Nayanthara's Netrikann A Korean Remake?
Nayanthara's 65th venture has been titled Netrikann and the film is directed by Milind Rau of Aval fame. Notably, Netrikann is the title of the yesteryear blockbuster Rajinikanth film produced by K Balchander’s Kavithalaya. Touted to be an intriguing thriller, Netrikann is produced by Nayanthara's boyfriend and director Vignesh Shivan under his newly formed production house Rowdy Pictures along with Kross Pictures. The film has Girrishh scoring the music. Karthik Ganesh is cranking the camera and Lawrence Kishore is taking care of the cuts. The principal shoot of Natrikann commenced on September 15th and Vignesh Shivan made the official announcement with a title poster.
The latest interesting news about Natrikann is that the film is the official remake of the Korean thriller movie titled Blind. The 2011 film Blind is about a female police officer who lost her vision in a tragic accident. A missing case involving a female student and a hit and run murder case appears to be related. How the blind protagonist with her other senses helps the detectives to solve the case forms the rest of the story. Nayanthara is said to be playing the blind police officer who investigates the mysterious case in the film. The storyline looks exciting and will be an ideal platform for Nayanthara to take things to the next level.
