One project that has had fans excited right from the moment of its announcement last year, ace filmmaker Mani Ratnam's Navarasa produced under his Madras Talkies banner with Jayendra is scheduled for its premiere on Netflix on August 6. There will be a total of nine shorts and each will be a depiction of the nine rasas (human emotions), with several leading celebrities coming on board the anthology film, which has been made as an initiative to provide aid for the livelihood of FEFSI Union workers and other daily wage workers in the Tamil film industry.

Last week saw the much-awaited Navarasa release date announcement, with the makers since then releasing three single tracks - 'Thooriga' from Gautham Vasudev Menon's directorial segment Guitar Kambi Mele Nindru, 'Osara Parandhu Vaa' from Atharvaa and Anjali's segment titled Thunintha Pin and 'Yaadho' from the Edhiri segment featured on 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi.
