Naai Sekar Returns is an upcoming dark comedy film written and directed by Suraaj and produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the banner of Lyca Productions. The film stars Vaigai Puyal Vadivelu in his comeback film after five years having last starred in 2017 action thriller film Mersal directed by Atlee starring Thalapathy Vijay. The film's music is composed by Santhosh Narayanan in his first collaboration with Vadivelu and Suraj. The film is a spin-off of Vadivelu's character in Suraaj's 2006 action crime film Thalai Nagaram.
After much waiting, something finally for the fans has been revealed and its a biggie. The producers from Lyca Productions took to their official Twitter handle to make the announcement that the first single titled 'Appatha' from the film will be released tomorrow (November 14). Vadivelu is back to playback singing as well and the legendary comedian has sung a song in the Naai Sekar Returns album. Prabhu Deva has choreographed the song and Think Music has bagged the film's audio rights recently. The upcoming song will be crooned by him. Vaigai Puyal is expected to play the role of a detective in this upcoming comedy thriller directed by Suraaj. The movie also stars Sivaangi, Redin Kingsley, Anandaraj, Lollu Sabha Seshu, RJ Vigneshkanth, Prashanth Rangaswamy and many more in pivotal roles.
