Mutthirai is the maiden attempt of Anees Tanveer, widow of late cinematographer-turned-director Jeeva. Mutthirai marks Anees’ foray into creative direction and production.�Directed by Srinath, it�deals with�the lives of two thieves and how they come up in life.

The story talks about their profession, the dangers andthe�ups�and downs that come along with it.�Nitin Sathya and Daniel Balaji�are the heroes;�Lakshmi Rai and newcomer Manjari are the�heroines. Heroine Manjari has also sung a song with Naresh Iyer in Yuvan's music for Mutthirai that is releasing on June 19th.
