Music Review: Iyntham Padai

Iyntham Padai is the next action entertainer from Sundar C., who has set atrend for his style of heroism, portraying himself as the fiery aruva-weilding hero. Svelte Simran, who is on her second innings in Kollywood, is his heroine. D. Imman has composed six songs for the album all of them celebrating Sundar C.’s heroism.

‘Aaradi Ratchasano’ flows with an exceptional melody and is sung by Kumar Sanu, Shreya Goshal and Sheyl Hatha. Sadhana Sargam has to be specially congratulated for capturing the slightly impish mood and slang in the fun number ‘Chinna Kozhunthanare’. ‘Oram po’ is a youthful chorus by new-age singers Karthik, Arjth and Karthikeyan.Though the song is a remake of the old-time hit, the trio impart a contemporary feel; the comprehensive effect of the song is particularly set off by the significant modulations accomplished by the singers throughout. Anitha and Suvi apply an immense throw in their voices for ‘Shokku Sundar’. The song also has a repeat version and both of them are ‘yo’ in their appeal. ‘Vaadi En Vaasapadi’, the last song in the album, is sung by Devan. In all terms, the songprovides a fitting finish to the album.

Imman’s music for Iyntham Padai is packed with a predominant heroic punch.
