Metro is an intense crime-thriller with a subject of chain snatching and the film has already become a sleeper hit. We hear that theater owners are planning to increase the number of screens after its huge positive response. Inspired by a real-life incident witnessed by director Anandakrishnan, the film shows a realistic portrayal of the crime. The film was initially banned by the Central Board because of the violence displayed. However, after approaching the Revising Committee, it was passed with an 'A' certificate without any cuts. In the film, Bobby Simha one again plays a negative role after Neram, Jigarthanda and Masala Padam. Sirish Saravanan is the lead hero.
