With all the hype and excitement that DC Comics' Dark Knight started creating earlier this month, now it is time for Marvel Studios' white knight, the Moon Knight to make his big appearance for the first time in live action in the world of superheroes. After various spots, teasers, and trailers, the blockbuster studio has released the first official clip from the highly-anticipated limited series. Moon Knight stars Oscar Isaac of Dune fame as the titular character. Known as Steven Grant/Marc Spector/Moon Knight, he’s an ex-mercenary who gets his crime-fighting and other supernatural powers from the Egyptian god Khonshu, who we seen lurking about in a dark hallway in this latest new preview clip.

Isaac's character Marc Spector has dissociative identity disorder (DID) in Moon Knight, and the alter ego that is being threatened by Khonshu here is an introverted museum gift shop worker who goes by the name of Steven Grant. As the frightful entity approaches him in the elevator, it suddenly morphs into an elderly woman with whom he has a very awkward moment after she catches him on the floor cowering like a little baby as he tries explaining that he was looking for his contact lenses.

Joining Isaac in the limited series is Ethan Hawke (Before trilogy fame), May Calamawy (Hulu's Ramy), and the late Gaspard Ulliel (Hannibal Rising). Created by Jeremy Slater for the streaming service Disney+, it is the sixth television series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. Slater also serves as a head writer with Mohamed Diab leading the directing team. Moon Knight is scheduled to premiere on March 30 on Disney+Hotstar and will run for six episodes until May 4. It will be part of Phase Four of the MCU.
