Netflix India on Monday surprised fans by releasing new footage for Money Heist: Part 5, while also informing in the announcement video that the global hit show's much-awaited trailer will be released on August 2. The upcoming edition of the show will be the final season and will see everyone's favorite thieves making their next move after they get locked up inside the Bank of Spain. In the Money Heist: Part 5 official trailer date announcement video, we get a new glimpse at Sergio Marquina (The Professor) / Salvador "Salva" Martín being held in chains after being caught by Najwa Nimri as Alicia Sierra.

Announced to come out in two installments of five episodes each, Money Heist season 5 volume 1 will premiere on September 3, while volume 2 will be streaming from December 3, 2021. Titled La Casa De Papel in Spanish, the latest edition will also throw light on some other major characters on the show like Jaime Lorente as Ricardo / Daniel Ramos (Denver), Itziar Ituño as Raquel Murillo (Lisbon), Rodrigo de la Serna as Martín Berrote (Palermo / The Engineer) and Esther Acebo as Mónica Gaztambide (Stockholm) and will see the gang taking on their biggest enemy, one they have never faced before - the Spanish Army - after being locked up inside the Bank of Spain for more than 100 hours.

Money Heist premiered first in 2017, with the show going on to become a worldwide success and garnering a massive fan following over the years. Show creator Álex Pina sometime back said, "When we began to write Part 5 in the midst of the pandemic, we felt that we had to change what was expected from the ten-episode season and used every tool we could to create the sensation of a season finale or series finale in the first volume itself. We decided to work in an extremely aggressive genre, putting The Gang on the ropes. In volume 2, we focus more on the emotional situation of the characters. It is a journey across their sentimental map that connects us directly to their departure."
