After several postponements and changes, Mohanlal's highly anticipated historical war film, Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham is now all set for a grand theatrical release on December 2 and the official announcement about it was made yesterday (November 11). Mohanlal took to his official Facebook page to share this good news with his fans and followers and he sounded completely excited about it.

Assuring that the film will be a marvellous visual treat, Mohanlal wrote, "It’s time to break the seal of that stunning surprise and we can’t contain the joy! You are about to experience one of the most marvellous visual treats in all its glory, from the place where its dashing frames deserve to be indulged in! The much-awaited 'Marakkar - Arabikadalinte Simham' to be released in Theatres worldwide on the 2nd of December, 2021! #MarakkarLionoftheArabianSea". For the last few days, there were wide speculations stating that Marakkar will go for a direct OTT release on Amazon Prime Video and the news worried the fans and film buffs as Marakkar was a film that was meant for a theatrical experience.

Fortunately, the OTT release plan has now been scrapped and the makers have opted for a theatrical release. Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham is a solid film that has the potential to bring back the audiences to the theatres in Kerala and let us hope that it turns out to be a success. Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham won 3 National Film Awards in the categories of Best Feature Film, Best Special Effects, and Best Costume Design. Marakkar is the most expensive Malayalam film ever made and it is going to be exciting to see how the film fares at the box office.
