It is common knowledge that Sripriya's upcoming directorial Malini 22 Palayamkottai is a remake of the super hit Malayalam movie 22 Female Kottayam. However, a frame-to-frame remake is not feasible, and would not work 100%. However, we hear that Sripriya has worked on the original a little! To make sure that the story appeals to the sensibilities of the Tamil and Telugu audiences, Sripriya has tweaked the story and some of the characters. She has tried to keep it as original as possible. The movie is releasing simultaneously in Telugu as Malini 22!
