Mission Mangal, the upcoming Bollywood science-fiction drama film is directed by Jagan Shakti and the film has huge star cast that has Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Nithya Menen, Kirti Kulhari, Sharman Joshi, HG Dattatreya and Sonakshi Sinha playing major roles. Actors Sanjay Kapoor, Dalip Tahil, Vikram Gokhale and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub will also be seen in supporting roles. The new song promo from Mission Mangal is titled Yeh Sindoor and has Akshay Kumar reciting a heartfelt poem. The video shows glimpses of the important female actors who played prominent women scientists and are a part of the team working on India’s Mars Orbiter Mission.

Mission Mangal is jointly produced by Akshay Kumar, R Balki, Aruna Bhatia, and Anil Naidu under the banners Cape of Good Films, Hope Productions and Fox Star Studios. Music for the film is composed by Amit Trivedi, cinematography is handled by Ravi Varman, editing is done by Chandan Arora. Mission Mangal is loosely based on the story of the scientists at Indian Space Research Organisation who contributed to the Mars Orbiter Mission. The film is scheduled to hit the screens on August 15th.
