Actor Brahma Mishra, best known among fans for playing the character Lalit on the Amazon action crime thriller web series Mirzapur, was found dead in his flat in Mumbai, the police has told news agency ANI. The cause of the popular actor's death is unknown and further details are awaited. Tributes have been pouring in for Mishra from his co-stars and fans on social media. Ali Fazal, who plays the character Guddu on Mirzapur, posted on Instagram, "Hearts broken today, yet again. Brahma, take care, saathi." Actor Divyenndu, who was seen alongside Mishra for a large portion of the blockbuster series, commented, "RIP Brahma Mishra. Our Lalit is no more. Let's pray for him everyone." Shweta Tripathi Sharma also posted an Instagram Story expressing her condolences and wrote, "RIP Brahma, very lucky to have known and worked with you." Sharing a picture of the late actor, Mirzapur director Gurmmeet Singh too paid his respects and said, "He brought a smile to a million faces. He will be missed. RIP Brahma Mishra." Mirzapur’s production banner Excel Movies put up a tribute post: "We are deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Brahma Swaroop Mishra. Our condolences are with his family and friends.
