Metro Kathalu is an upcoming Telugu web series starring Rajeev Kanakala, Gayatri Bhargavi, Ali Reza, Shanoor Sana, Nakshatra, Thiruvee and Nandini Rai in the lead roles. Metro Kathalu is directed by Karuna Kumar who tasted success recently with his periodic movie Palasa 1978. Notably, Karuna Kumar made his debut with the 2009 film Drona. The web series is produced by Kiran Reddy Mandadi and Ram Madhukuri. For the Tamil audience, the lead actor of the series, Rajeev Kanakala could be a familiar face following his crucial role in the 2011 cop action entertainer film Siruthai. Rajeev Kanakala played Inspector Bharath in the film.

Metro Kathalu is set to stream on the OTT platform Aha on August 14th on the occasion of Independence Day which falls the next day. Ahead of the premiere, the team has now released the official trailer of the series. Popular Telugu actress, director and producer Lakshmi Manchu released the teaser through her Twitter account on Wednesday (August 12th). Launching the teaser, Lakshmi Manchu wrote, "Loved the titbit conversations with the team of #MetroKathalu while launching the trailer. Excited for Premieres on Aug 14th."

Metro Kathalu is based on the relationship between the four couples in the city of Hyderabad and the emotional events that happen around the couples. The OTT platform Aha belongs to popular Tollywood producer Allu Aravind.who has produced some of the biggest blockbusters under his banner Geetha Arts. Allu Aravind launched his OTT platform Aha in a low-key affair at the beginning of this year. The Aha app is available on Play Store for Android users and iTunes Store for Apple users. The app was launched by Allu Aravind and Allu Arjun in association with My Home Rameshwar Rao. Aha also streams films produced by Geetha Arts and is in the process of acquiring new content.
