One of the biggest stars in South India, ‘ThalapathyVijay enjoys a massive fan following unlike any other actor in recent times and will next be seen in the highly anticipated action sports drama, Bigil, coming out in theatres as a Diwali treat in October followed by Thalapathy 64 under director Lokesh Kanagaraj, which has been announced for a summer 2020 release. Vijay, who has delivered several blockbusters over the course of his successful career, had starred in Mersal in 2017, which incidentally is his highest-grossing film till date and had featured the actor in triple roles for the first time in his career. Mersal saw many notable performances from not just the lead stars, but many actors in supporting roles too had left an impressive mark in the minds of the audience with their performances. Among them, actor Abdool, who was seen alongside the father Vijay character named Vetrimaaran, posted on social media an incident which he has defined as the sweetest factor about Vijay. In his post, Abdool narrates an incident after the Mersal shooting was completed and how he was hesitant to ask Vijay for a selfie. Director Atlee's Mersal produced under the Thenandal Studios Limited banner had a diverse ensemble leading cast featuring names like Nithya Menen, Samantha and Kajal Aggarwal as the female leads followed by SJ Suryah as the antagonist and, Vadivelu, Kovai Sarala, 'Naan Kadavul' Rajendran among others in supporting roles with chartbuster music by A. R. Rahman.
