Alia Bhatt has been the talk of the town for quite some time. Her upcoming biographical crime drama, Gangubai Kathiawadi, written and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, which has been highly anticipated is finally all set for release on 25 February 2022. Alia will be seen taking on the titular role and will be seen acting alongside Shantanu Maheshwari, Vijay Raaz, Indira Tiwari and Seema Pahwa who will play pivotal roles with Ajay Devgn featuring in an extended cameo appearance and from the trailer it is safe to assume that he will be someone she looks up to. A mentor of some sort.

Shantanu Maheshwari's will be making his Bollywood debut with this film. The actor is best known for his show Dil Dosti Dance on Channel V and for his breakout performance as the protagonist Swayam Shekhawat. In 2017, he participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 where he emerged as the winner. He is finally entering the world of films and his character in the film was introduced in the song Jab Saiyaan. Now, the makers have released a new song, Meri Jaan, from the film in which we can see him get intimate with the powerhouse actress.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali brings this song to life with some stunning visuals and a unique composition accompanied by Neeti Mohan's voice in the vocals with its lyrics written by Kumaar. The song shows the emotional ups and downs of these two lovebirds. It truly is a wonderful sight to see which is further enhanced by the choice of where the song is to be shot - in an old vintage car.

On the other hand, Alia Bhatt's upcoming projects include a starring role opposite Ranbir Kapoor in Ayan Mukerji's fantasy film trilogy, Brahmāstra. She is rumoured to make a quick appearance alongside N.T. Rama Rao Jr. and Ram Charan in the Telugu period film RRR. She will also be seen starring opposite Ranveer Singh in the romantic comedy Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani directed by Karan Johar. The two have already shared the screen on the critically acclaimed Gully Boy back in 2019. She will also produce and star in the black comedy Darlings, opposite Shefali Shah, Vijay Sharma and Roshan Mathew.
