AGS Entertainment, producer of Suriya's Maattrraan has approached Madras High Court seeking relief against acts of piracy committed on internet and DVD. AGS has also filed a 'John Doe' suit, against various Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and unknown persons who indulges in such acts. After hearing the case, Justice Chandru passed orders directing various ISPs to block access to such websites which would illegally broadcast the film. The Order in its scope is very clear stating that only those websites which broadcast the film illegally are to be blocked, upon AGS verifying and informing ISPs of the same.
