It was indeed one of the memorable events in recent past. Mohan Babu, Lakshmi Manchu, Vishnu, Manoj Manchu, DSP, Aadhi, Taapsee, producer Prasad and other eminent personalities from the Tamil industry gathered at the venue to witness the audio launch of Maranthen Mannithen. The film has music by the legendary Ilaiyaraaja and that by itself is the greatest USP of this bilingual.

The film is produced by Lakshmi Manchu under her home banner Manchu Entertainment; she also plays an important role in the film. The film is also made simultaneously in Telugu as Gundello Godari. The film is reportedly based on four lives during the 1986 floods in Godavari districts.

The film has seven interesting tracks with the title song sung by the maestro himself.
